Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Essay text — the Chinese composition you submit for marking.
• AI feedback — the scores and suggestions generated for your essay.
• Email address — only if you voluntarily provide it in the opt-in form.
• Usage events — anonymous interaction logs (e.g. page views, tab switches) with no personally identifiable information.
• IP address — used solely for rate-limiting abuse prevention; not stored permanently.

2. How we use your data

• To provide AI-powered composition feedback.
• To improve the accuracy of our marking model over time (essay text + scores are used as training data).
• To send you product update emails, if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email.
• To understand how the service is used (aggregated, anonymous analytics).

3. Children's data

This service is intended for Primary 4–6 students (ages 10–12). We do not knowingly collect personal information beyond essay content. Submissions are anonymous by default. Parents or guardians who have questions about data collected from their child may contact us at the address below to request deletion.

4. Data storage & retention

Essay data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS in Singapore or the nearest available region). We retain essay data indefinitely for model improvement purposes. Email addresses are retained until you request removal. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us below.

5. Third-party services

• Dify — processes essay text to generate AI feedback.
• Anthropic Claude — used for image-to-text (OCR) when you upload a photo.
• Supabase — stores essay and feedback data.
• Resend — sends email notifications if you opted in.
• Vercel — hosts the application.

Each provider has their own privacy policy. Essay content is transmitted to Dify and/or Anthropic solely for the purpose of generating feedback.

6. Your rights

Under PDPA, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond within 10 business days.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
